Fast & Furious: Supercharged

The Attraction Overview

Fast & Furious: Supercharged seats guests aboard a stretch party-bus vehicle that joins the film franchise's crew — including Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Michelle Rodriguez — for a high-speed chase told through massive wraparound screens and motion effects. The pre-show recreates a lavish party at Dom's family gathering before guests board for the chase sequence.

The ride is built around scale, with some of the largest projection screens of any Universal attraction, aiming to put riders in the middle of a blockbuster car chase without ever leaving their seats.

The Story

The attraction opened on April 23, 2018, in the San Francisco area, taking over the building formerly occupied by Disaster! Universal has announced that Fast & Furious: Supercharged is scheduled to permanently close on August 16, 2026, ahead of the future Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster planned to replace Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit in the New York area.

Before the Clock Strikes

  • Given its confirmed August 2026 closing date, check current park hours and status before planning a visit around this ride.
  • This is a lower-intensity, screen-based experience rather than a coaster — a good choice for guests who want a themed motion ride without drops or launches.
  • There's no single-rider line, but the ride's high capacity vehicle typically keeps lines moving at a steady pace.
  • Compared to Transformers: The Ride 3D, this attraction is more of a slow-build spectacle than a fast-paced thrill ride, leaning on scale and star power over intensity.
