The Attraction Overview
Ohyah & Ohno are a pair of side-by-side drop slides that end with a genuine free-fall moment into a 10-foot-deep pool. Ohyah is the milder of the two, with a twisting descent ending in a four-foot drop into the water.
Ohno is the more intense sibling: riders cross a rope bridge to reach its start, then navigate a serpentine channel before dropping six feet through open air into the pool below — lifeguards verbally confirm swimming ability before letting guests ride either slide.
The Story
Ohyah & Ohno opened with the rest of Volcano Bay on May 25, 2017.
Before the Clock Strikes
- Standby lines only since TapuTapu's October 1, 2025 discontinuation — these slides have relatively low hourly capacity given the single-file drop finish, so ride early if you want short waits.
- Both require a minimum height of 48 in. (122 cm) and strong swimming ability; be ready for a lifeguard to ask you to confirm you can swim before boarding.
- Ohno's six-foot drop and rope-bridge approach make it noticeably more intense than Ohyah's four-foot drop — try Ohyah first if you're unsure.
- These are true drop slides rather than tube or raft rides — if you enjoyed the free-fall sensation of Ko'okiri but want a shorter, more playful version, Ohno is the closest comparison in the park.
