We Re-Checked 15,623 Disney World Food Prices. 2,364 of Them Went Up.

We keep a record of what Disney World food costs. Not what it costs today — anyone can read a menu — but what it cost in July, and in August, and now in October, so that the question "has this gone up?" has an actual answer instead of a feeling.

On 11 October we took a fresh reading of all 355 Disney World dining locations. Then we lined it up against the one we took on 13 August.

15,623 items appeared on both menus. 2,364 of them cost more now. 91 cost less. The other 13,168 didn't move.

That is about one item in six, and the typical increase was 5.3%.

Half of it isn't in the parks at all

When Disney food prices come up, the conversation is about the parks. A corn dog at Magic Kingdom. Onion rings at Sci-Fi. That's where people notice, because that's where people are standing when they pay.

But of the 15,623 items we matched, 7,682 are at the resorts, water parks and other non-park locations. That is just under half. It is the biggest single block of Disney food pricing, and it is the part nobody counts.

It moved too. At the All-Star Movies food court, a regular Joffrey's coffee went from $4.79 to $4.99 and an iced chai oatmilk latte from $5.79 to $5.99. At Roaring Fork in Wilderness Lodge, a double espresso went $3.99 to $5.49. Nothing dramatic on its own. All of it is breakfast for a family staying two weeks.

Where the increases landed hardest

Median increase on the items that actually changed, by location:

LocationItems matchedMedian move
Disney Springs3,9745.6%
Magic Kingdom9435.6%
Hollywood Studios8955.3%
Animal Kingdom8235.3%
Resorts & water parks7,6824.6%
EPCOT1,2984.2%

EPCOT came out cheapest to eat in this round, and Disney Springs and Magic Kingdom the most expensive — which is the opposite of the usual assumption that the flagship park takes the biggest hit alone.

The ones you'll actually feel

Snacks took a proportionally worse beating than entrées, which is the pattern that stings, because a snack is the thing you buy without thinking.

  • Churro, Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies, Magic Kingdom — $5.99 to $7.49. Up 25%.
  • Whole fruit, Liberty Square Market — $2.29 to $2.79. Up 21.8%.
  • Pickle-in-a-Pouch, The Land Cart, EPCOT — $2.29 to $2.79. Same 21.8%.
  • Twinings hot tea, Pizzafari — $4.29 to $4.99.
  • Joffrey's coffee, Backlot Express — $4.29 to $4.99.

A pickle at EPCOT and a piece of fruit in Magic Kingdom both went up by exactly fifty cents, between the same two dates.

Some whole menus moved as a block. At Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' in Disney Springs, the fish sticks, the fried chicken tenders and the cheeseburger were all $10.00 in August and are all $13.00 now — a 30% jump applied across a price tier rather than dish by dish. Harambe Market in Animal Kingdom did the same thing: cheeseburger $7.49 to $9.49, and the allergy-friendly kids' versions moved with it, to the cent.

Sit-down didn't escape, it just moved less in percentage terms. Crispy onion rings at Sci-Fi Dine-In went $11.00 to $13.00.

91 things actually got cheaper

This never gets reported, so: 91 items came down.

  • Jabba Juice, Oga's Cantina — $17.50 to $8.00.
  • Lychee-Ginger Lemonade, 'Ohana — $13.50 to $6.59.
  • Avocado Breakfast Bowl, Spyglass Grill — $10.99 to $8.99.

The two drinks roughly halving is a big enough swing that we'd treat it as a change in what you get for the money rather than a straight discount — but we can only tell you the number on the menu changed, because that's what we measured.

Two numbers we're deliberately not putting in the headline

At Be Our Guest, two drinks show enormous jumps: Château Shimmer $7.75 to $23.79, and the Royal Berry Spritzer $6.59 to $22.59. Those are the real figures off Disney's own menu on both dates.

We're not calling them 200% price rises, because a drink that triples in price usually isn't the same drink any more, and our data can only see the number, not the glass it arrives in.

The same caution killed a bigger-looking number. Our first pass flagged a garden salad at Olivia's Cafe going from $3.25 to $12.00 — a 269% increase, and the most eye-catching figure in the whole dataset. It's false. October's menu has both a $3.25 garden salad and a $12.00 one: the side salad never moved, a larger version was added, and our matching paired the old price with the new item. We caught it, and it isn't in any of the numbers above.

We mention it because it's exactly the kind of figure that gets repeated for months once somebody publishes it.

How we know

Every few weeks we take a snapshot of every price on every Disney World restaurant menu and keep it. Items are matched between snapshots on restaurant, exact item name and size, so a renamed or restructured dish drops out of the comparison rather than inventing a fake increase.

The headline figures here survive a stricter test too: counting only items whose name and size appear exactly once on both dates, where no ambiguity is possible, still leaves 2,322 increases and 85 decreases. The finding doesn't depend on how generously we match.

We have not found anywhere that publishes Disney food price history. Menus show today's number, and yesterday's is gone the moment it changes. We started writing them down on 20 July 2026. This is the third reading.
