Grilled sausage and roasted pork in a pita with tangy slaw and peppercorn sauce — Batuu's best street food.
Ingredients
- 4 pork sausages, grilled
- 1/2 lb roasted pork, sliced thin
- 4 pita flatbreads, warmed
- 2 cups shredded cabbage slaw mix
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup peppercorn ranch or creamy peppercorn dressing
Method
- Toss the slaw mix with the vinegar and sugar and let sit 10 minutes.
- Layer each warm pita with sliced roasted pork and a grilled sausage.
- Top with the tangy slaw and a generous drizzle of peppercorn sauce.
- Wrap and serve hot.
