The Resort Overview
Disney's All-Star Music Resort opened in November 1994 as the second of the three All-Star Resorts, with five sections themed to calypso, country, jazz, rock, and Broadway-style music. Giant maracas, cowboy boots, saxophones, and drums tower over the guest buildings.
Its standout feature is the Calypso Pool, shaped like an oversized guitar with stripes across the deck resembling guitar strings — one of the more distinctive pool shapes anywhere on Disney property.
Dining & Amenities
The Intermission Food Court, tucked behind the lobby in Melody Hall, is the resort's only dining venue, serving pizza, burgers, and other quick-service staples for all three meals.
The guitar-shaped Calypso Pool is the main pool. All-Star Music is also the only All-Star resort with Family Suites — two-bathroom units in the Calypso and Jazz sections that sleep up to six.

Booking Strategy
- If you need more space than a standard value room, All-Star Music's Family Suites are a genuinely useful upgrade over squeezing a family of five into a standard room at Movies or Sports.
- Book a Calypso or Jazz section room to be steps from the main pool and food court.
- Compared to All-Star Movies, Music is the better fit for larger families needing suite-style space, while Movies edges it out for character-loving young kids.
- There's no table-service restaurant here, so plan at least one meal off-property or at a nearby park if you want a sit-down dinner.
