The Resort Overview
Kidani Village opened in 2009 as the second Disney Vacation Club property at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, connected to the original Jambo House by an indoor walkway. It carries the same African lodge theming, with a curved, savanna-facing layout and authentic African artwork throughout.
Its signature draw is savanna access: a large share of villas have private balconies overlooking one of Kidani's two dedicated savannas, letting guests watch giraffes and zebras from their own room.
Dining & Amenities
Sanaa is Kidani Village's signature restaurant, blending African and Indian flavors and known for its bread service and savanna-view dining room. Guests can also walk over to Jambo House for Boma's buffet and the fine-dining Jiko.
The Samawati Springs Pool is Kidani's centerpiece, with a waterslide, zero-depth entry, and a water play area — widely considered one of the more underrated pools at Walt Disney World.

Booking Strategy
- Request a savanna-view room specifically when booking, since standard-view rooms face the parking areas or pool instead.
- Because it's bus-only to every park, build in extra transportation time compared to resorts with boats or monorail access.
- Good fit for wildlife lovers who want more space and a kitchenette than Jambo House's standard rooms offer.
- Sanaa dinner reservations book up fast — try for a savanna-view table and go early evening for the best light for animal viewing.
