Disney's BoardWalk Inn

The Resort Overview

Disney's BoardWalk Inn is a Deluxe resort designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern to evoke a 1920s-40s Atlantic Coast boardwalk. Its sherbet-colored facades, flagged turrets, and striped awnings sit directly on a promenade lined with shops, dueling piano bars, arcade games, and street performers, making the hotel itself part of the entertainment.

The resort's defining feature is the mile-long boardwalk it's named for, which wraps around Crescent Lake and connects the Inn to its sister Yacht and Beach Club resorts and the Swan and Dolphin. Guest rooms sit above the shops and restaurants, so the property doubles as both a place to sleep and a nightly people-watching destination.

Dining & Amenities

Flying Fish is a sustainable-seafood table-service spot considered one of the toughest and most rewarded dining reservations at Walt Disney World. Trattoria al Forno serves Italian classics for dinner and a character breakfast, and the boardwalk promenade hosts additional dining and nightlife.

Luna Park Pool, the feature pool, is themed to a 1920s amusement park with the "Keister Coaster," a 200-foot slide shaped like a vintage wooden roller coaster. Recreation also includes bike and surrey-bike rentals along the boardwalk and access to the shared promenade's arcade and nightlife.

Booking Strategy

  • Request a Boardwalk View room for balcony views of the nightly promenade activity — it can be noisy in the evenings, a plus for some and a drawback for light sleepers.
  • Skip the Friendship boats when walking is faster; EPCOT is a short walk away, and the boat route makes multiple stops.
  • Good fit for adults, couples, and EPCOT/Food & Wine Festival regulars who want walkable access and nightlife; less ideal for a quiet, secluded retreat.
  • Boat lines can back up during peak EPCOT event days since the launch is shared with Beach Club, Yacht Club, and the Swan/Dolphin.
