Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
The Resort Overview
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins opened in 2017 within Disney's Wilderness Lodge, extending the resort's National Park grand-lodge theme with its towering timber-and-stone architecture and a soaring lobby centered on Fire Rock Geyser, which erupts on a schedule visible from the lobby and grounds.
The standout feature is the Cabins themselves — freestanding, one-bedroom log cabins set directly along the Bay Lake shoreline, a rustic waterfront retreat that's a rarity among Walt Disney World's Deluxe resorts.
Dining & Amenities
Whispering Canyon Cafe serves family-style American fare with a rowdy, comedic Wild West staff, while Artist Point is a signature restaurant built around Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes. Geyser Point Bar & Grill offers quick-service options with a popular waterside deck.
The resort's two pools are Copper Creek Springs Pool, the main pool with a waterslide and water play area, and the quieter Boulder Ridge Cove Pool.

Booking Strategy
- The Cabins are extremely popular and expensive in DVC points, so book as far in advance as possible if that's the room type you want.
- The boat launch to Magic Kingdom is a genuine highlight — faster and more scenic than most resort bus rides.
- Good fit for families who want an outdoorsy, less-crowded atmosphere near Magic Kingdom; quieter travelers may prefer BoardWalk Villas or Beach Club Villas.
- The resort doesn't sit on the monorail loop, so factor boat/bus timing into your Magic Kingdom rope-drop plans.
