Disney Lakeshore Lodge
The Resort Overview
Disney Lakeshore Lodge — first announced in 2018 as 'Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge,' paused during the pandemic, and officially renamed and re-announced in November 2024 — is now under active construction on Bay Lake, on the site of the long-closed Disney's River Country water park, right between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
The resort celebrates the nature-inspired Disney animated films Bambi, Brother Bear, The Fox and the Hound, and Pocahontas, with guest rooms themed around each and a lakeside table-service restaurant planned around The Princess and the Frog. When complete, it will offer 967 accommodations ranging from studios to suites, plus one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses positioned right along the waterline.
Planned Dining & Amenities
Plans include a lakeside table-service restaurant themed to The Princess and the Frog, alongside quick-service and lounge options still to be detailed as opening gets closer.
The planned Wetlands recreation area will include five themed water zones: Lakeshore Lagoon (a zero-entry pool with a spiral slide), Daydream River (a lazy river), Cypress Point (a leisure pool and whirlpool spa), and two Pocahontas-inspired play areas, Heron Shores and Otter Springs.
What We Know So Far
- This resort isn't open or bookable yet — expected to open in the first half of Summer 2027.
- It sits directly between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, so guests at either resort may notice construction activity, though there's no impact on existing guest rooms or campsites.
- Once open, its Bay Lake-front location should make it a strong pick for guests who loved Wilderness Lodge's nature theming but want brand-new construction and lake or Magic Kingdom views.
- We'll update this guide with real photos, dining details, and booking tips as they're announced — check back as the opening date approaches.
