The Resort Overview
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows opened in 2015 as a Disney Vacation Club addition to the long-running Polynesian Village Resort, blending South Pacific-inspired theming and lush tropical landscaping with DVC studios and the resort's most talked-about accommodation: overwater Bora Bora Bungalows perched on the Seven Seas Lagoon.
The bungalows are the headline feature, each with its own private plunge pool and a deck extending out over the lagoon with unobstructed Magic Kingdom fireworks views, a rarity even among WDW's deluxe resorts.
Dining & Amenities
Villa and bungalow guests share the Polynesian's full dining roster, including 'Ohana, the family-style Hawaiian-inspired restaurant known for its oak-fired meats and Lilo & Stitch character breakfast, and Kona Cafe, known for dishes like Tonga Toast.
The resort's feature pool is the volcano-themed Lava Pool, complete with a waterslide and zero-depth entry, while the quieter Oasis Pool offers a more relaxed garden setting for villa and bungalow guests.

Booking Strategy
- Bora Bora Bungalows are pricey and book out extremely far in advance, so reserve as early as possible if that's the goal.
- DVC studios in the villas are a more budget-friendly way to experience the Polynesian's theming and monorail-loop location without bungalow pricing.
- Compared to a standard Polynesian Village Resort room, the villas and bungalows add full or partial kitchens and more living space, a bigger advantage for longer stays or families.
- The walking path, monorail, and boat all reach Magic Kingdom directly, making early park entry especially easy from this resort.
