The Resort Overview
Disney's Riviera Resort, which opened December 16, 2019, is Disney Vacation Club's love letter to Walt Disney's own travels along the coastlines of the French and Italian Riviera, with grand Mediterranean architecture, wrought-iron balconies, and sun-washed stucco.
As the first resort built from the ground up with its own dedicated Disney Skyliner station, Riviera offers gondolas gliding directly to EPCOT's International Gateway and to Disney's Hollywood Studios, a transportation option no other Deluxe resort offers in quite the same way.
Dining & Amenities
The showpiece is Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, a rooftop restaurant with sweeping park views that serves a character breakfast and an upscale French-Mediterranean dinner. Quick-service needs are covered by Primo Piatto.
Riviera has two pool areas: the main Riviera Pool with a children's water play zone, and the quieter Beau Soleil Pool.
Booking Strategy
- Because Riviera has no monorail or boat access, its identity is built entirely around the Skyliner — confirm you're comfortable with that mode of transportation before booking.
- Standard-view rooms here are among the more affordable ways to experience a brand-new DVC property, but the resort's smaller pools mean it's not the pick for guests wanting a big splashy feature pool.
- Compared to Caribbean Beach (which also uses the Skyliner), Riviera trades larger grounds and a bigger pool for more refined theming and rooftop dining.
- Topolino's Terrace dinner and character breakfast book up quickly at the 60-day mark, so set a reservation reminder.
