Event Overview
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is Disney World's long-running hard-ticket Halloween event at Magic Kingdom, held on select nights each fall with the park closed to regular day guests during party hours. It combines trick-or-treating, costumed characters, and Halloween-specific entertainment not offered on normal park days.
Its two biggest draws are the Boo-to-You Parade, led by the Headless Horseman and featuring Disney villains and Haunted Mansion characters, and the Halloween Screams fireworks show hosted by Jack Skellington.
Highlights
- Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade down Main Street, U.S.A.
- Halloween Screams fireworks, hosted by Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular stage show on Cinderella Castle
- Trick-or-treating at candy stations throughout the park
- Rare character meet-and-greets in Halloween costumes
- Guests permitted (and encouraged) to wear costumes, unlike regular park days
Planning Tips
- Buy tickets as early as possible — the cheapest and most popular dates (including Halloween night itself) sell out months in advance.
- Weeknight, non-peak dates in August/September are both cheaper and less crowded than October weekends.
- Prioritize the Hocus Pocus show and one parade viewing early, since trick-or-treat lines build fast later in the night.
- Ticket holders can enter the park hours before party start, so arrive early to enjoy attractions before the crowds arrive.
