The Hotel Overview
Aventura Hotel took Universal's theming in a new direction when it opened in 2018: instead of an immersive storyline, it leans into a sleek, modern, minimalist high-rise design with clean lines and city-view rooms, appealing to travelers who want contemporary style over elaborate theming. It sits in Universal's Prime Value category alongside the newer Stella Nova and Terra Luna resorts.
Its rooftop location gives Bar 17 Bistro sweeping views of the Orlando skyline and, on select nights, a vantage point for watching CityWalk-area fireworks — a perk not shared by any of the ground-level resorts.
Dining & Amenities
Urban Pantry is a food-hall-style marketplace offering a rotating mix of international quick-service cuisines rather than a traditional table-service restaurant; Bar 17 Bistro upstairs serves handcrafted cocktails and small plates in a rooftop lounge setting.
The hotel has a single resort-style pool with an adjacent kids' splash zone, plus a rooftop bar area and a state-of-the-art fitness center; it's a more compact recreation footprint than Universal's larger Premier resorts.

Booking Strategy
- Aventura's walking path to Volcano Bay is exclusive to hotel guests and is genuinely direct, making it a strong pick if a water park day is a priority.
- The walk to CityWalk/USF/IOA is long (15-20+ minutes); plan on the hotel's shuttle bus rather than walking if you're pressed for time.
- Compared to Sapphire Falls, Aventura is cheaper and more design-forward but has no full table-service restaurant, a single smaller pool, and no Express Pass — a better fit for style-conscious travelers on a tighter budget than for families wanting resort amenities.
- Rooms here run smaller than at Universal's other hotels, so it's worth checking square footage if you're traveling with a full family.
